c. 1940s Ivory Satin & Lace Peplum Bridal Gown

$1,550.00

A beautifully rare 1940s bridal gown, with a cinched waist, scalloped floral lace peplum and a long satin tie that knots at the neckline and falls loosely between the shoulders bringing a little romance to the simplicity of the gown.

A wide rolled neckline sits softly across the shoulders, paired with three-quarter sleeves and a beautifully fitted bodice. The long skirt is left beautifully simple, falling softly from beneath the lace with a gentle fullness through the hem. Floral lace gathers around the waist into a full peplum, with deep scalloped edges falling over the hips against the smooth ivory satin.

CONDITION

We take a lot of care with the condition of our vintage pieces. Each garment is cleaned, and carefully inspected, but vintage will naturally show signs of age and previous wear. With that in mind, please review the condition notes below:

Beautifully revived, with gentle signs of age and a tiny pull to the front of the satin, perhaps from a once-pinned corsage.

CARE

Your piece has been carefully cleaned and will arrive ready to wear. After shipping, it may just need a light steam to release any wrinkles. Use only distilled water on the lowest setting and from a distance, placing a clean white cloth between the steamer and the garment to help protect delicate fabrics from water marks.

For storage, keep your piece somewhere cool, dry and away from direct sunlight, ideally in a breathable garment bag where appropriate.

For any future cleaning or restoration, we recommend taking it to a professional who is experienced with vintage and delicate fabrics. A little care goes a long way in keeping your piece beautiful for years to come.

RETURNS

Due to the delicate nature of vintage items,
