c. 1990s Couture Ivory Basque Waist Rosette Bridal Gown
A spectacular 1990s couture bridal gown with an off-the-shoulder neckline, elongated basque waist and sculpted ivory rosettes throughout.
The neckline folds softly around the shoulders, with rosettes nestled amongst tiny pearls and delicate pearlwork following the sweetheart bodice. The waist is long and beautifully fitted, dipping into a deep point before meeting the fullness of the skirt. Long sleeves finish in pointed cuffs, each lined with tiny covered buttons and edged in pearls.
The skirt is beautifully heavy and gathered from the low waist, falling in deep folds before sweeping out into a long, full train. More rosettes are placed amongst the folds around the hem, carrying the flowers all the way from the shoulders to the floor.
At the back, a long row of tiny covered buttons follows the bodice to an oversized bow at the waist, with sculpted rosettes gathered at its centre and long trailing tails falling softly over the skirt.
It is 90s couture bridal at its most romantic. Bare shoulders, roses and pearls, an exaggerated basque waist and that incredible bow at the back.
