c. 1930s Ivory Lace Tiered Bridal Gown

$2,295.00

An original 1930s bridal gown made almost entirely from ivory floral lace, with softly puffed sleeves, a beautifully nipped waist and long tiers of lace falling to the floor.

The bodice sits close through the waist with a wide neckline framed in lace. Gentle gathers give the sleeves their soft shape through the shoulder, narrowing through the arm before opening into little flared cuffs. From the natural waist, the skirt falls through three deep gathered tiers, growing fuller as they descend and pooling softly around the feet before trailing behind.

There is something impossibly romantic about this gown. The cinched waist, the puffed sleeves, those long cascading tiers and lace quite literally everywhere you look. It has all the softness and femininity that makes 1930s bridal so beautiful.

Nearly a century later, the lace remains in phenomenal condition. To find an antique gown this delicate, with so much of its original lace so beautifully preserved, feels incredibly special.

CONDITION

We take a lot of care with the condition of our vintage pieces. Each garment is cleaned, revived and carefully inspected, but vintage will naturally show signs of age and previous wear. With that in mind, please review the condition notes below:

Beautifully preserved for its age, with only gentle signs of wear and no notable flaws.

CARE

Your piece has been carefully cleaned and will arrive ready to wear. After shipping, it may just need a light steam to release any wrinkles. Use only distilled water on the lowest setting and from a distance, placing a clean white cloth between the steamer and the garment to help protect delicate fabrics from water marks.

For storage, keep your piece somewhere cool, dry and away from direct sunlight, ideally in a breathable garment bag where appropriate.

For any future cleaning or restoration, we recommend taking it to a professional who is experienced with vintage and delicate fabrics. A little care goes a long way in keeping your piece beautiful for years to come.
